15 Songs About Food That Will Make You A Little Hungry - Page 2
9Weezer - Pork And Beans
The moral of this food-centric song is just doing you, even if that means eating pork and beans with a side of candy. Considering pickles and peanut butter is a thing, there are stranger combinations out in the culinary world.
8Snoop Dogg - Peaches N Cream ft. Charlie Wilson
Freshly off Snoop's new album Bush, you can pretty much guess what the song is about: a lady as fine as peaches 'n cream. To analyze the song, the woman (with a big booty no less) is the peach, and her freakum dress is the cream, or something as ridiculous as that.
7Harry Champion - Oh! That Gorgonzola Cheese
William Henry Crump, better known as Harry Champion, tells the tale of a dinner party gone wrong. Harry's wife had left Gorgonzola cheese out for too long, and needless to say the guests didn't respond kindly, going as far as shooting the cheese. Apparently filling Gorgonzola cheese with bullet holes only makes it stronger, fyi. See the great Robin Williams rendition.
6Carpenters - Jambalaya (On The Bayou)
Everyone's favourite musical-sibling duo (The White Stripes held this title for a while, before we learned t'was all a sham) released this food-track in 1952. Even though Carpenters are focusing more on the fun to be had on the bayou preparing the jambalaya, it still counts as a food-song. Plus there's some sweet flute-action to enjoy.
5Rihanna - Birthday Cake
Leave it to Ri-Ri to take something as wholesome as birthday cake and making it into a metaphor for sex. Honestly, I think it's kind of genius, and now every time I enter a bakery I just start saying "Cake, cake, cake, cake, cake." Give the song a listen and you will too.
4Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes
Nothing gets more sickeningly adorable than Jack Johnson's uber-popular-with-all-tween-girls song "Banana Pancakes." Of course, anyone with a girlfriend loathed Johnson for this tune, as they were then forced into waking up early to make banana pancakes whenever it was rainy.
3Lana Del Rey - Cola
Okay, so technically cola is a beverage, but to be fair, Lana says her genitals TASTE like Pepsi in the song, so that puts the track into the realm of food, right? She also says her eyes are wide like cherry pie, which is a slightly less disturbing thought.
